Aim of the program is to prepare specialists of social sciences with the interdisciplinary knowledge of political, economic and social transformation of Georgia in a post-Soviet period; students of the programs will be able to apply theoretical knowledge in order to comprehend country’s complex political, economic and social developments and changes; will be prepared to apply their knowledge to foster further development of the country.
English language proficiency at least at B2 level (proved by a certificate or by a written exam at TSU)
BA level in any social science discipline , in history, economics, philosophy or jurisprudence
Pass results in National Graduate Exams (for Georgian students; for foreign applicants according to Georgian legislation and regulations of TSU)

Assessment scores distribution: English language exam -30%, written exam - 40%, interview – 30%.
After completion of the program students will have:
- deep and systemic knowledge of main political, economic and social trends and institutional patterns of post-Soviet transformation of Georgia
- theoretical knowledge in following fields:
Political institutions, their transformation. Democratization, state building;
System transformation of economy, political economy;
Civil society, social processes, values and culture;
Research methods, research design.
- Graduates of the program will be able to analyze critically interconnections among social, political and economic events and developments;
After completion of the program students will have following skills:
On the basis of critical analyses of interrelations among various social realms and syntheses of their specific elements, to do academic research and analytical work.
Apply their knowledge to solve practical multifactorial problems in public service, civil society, consultancy services
Engage in professional and public communication, based on academic standards, ethics and methodologies, applied in social sciences
Participate in discussions, deliberation and debates, share their knowledge and own innovative ideas with colleagues, students or broad public in written, orally and/or by means of computer visualization, in English.
Based on a methods and methodologies learned, graduates will be able to identify problem areas/issues in an multifactorial environment and can deepen further their knowledge independently.
Graduates, being aware of their own perceptions regarding the past and the possible future development of Georgia, will be able to contribute to this development creatively and rationally, through their professional, civic or academic activities.
Graduates completing their degree with the Program will be able to work in various fields, including public services, civil society organizations, academic/research institutions, international organizations, media; spheres of activities include doing research, teaching at various levels of study, consultancy, analytical writing, leading projects , etc.
